At NIWA designs we can help you with designing your desired garden as well as supply of plants for your project or horticultural advice. We can also assist you with council processes and procedures if it is required.

Consultation.

Once you have contacted Ben via email or phone, we will arrange a suitable time to visit your project. During this 60 min consultation we will collect as much information from the site, from you and your family. Once back in the studio a brief and proposal will be drawn up to identify what was discussed in the consultation and returned to you for approval.

All initial on site consultations are $330 incl GST.

Concept Design.

Based on the brief and the site analysis that we took, we will design a concept for your garden that we will present to you in a face to face meeting. This design will be supported by a mood board to show the intensions and feel for this garden. Once this has been agreed upon we can proceed to the Master Plan. It will be at this point where we discuss if your design needs to be taken to council.

Master Plan

In this phase of work we will provide you with plans based on the confirmed Concept Design. The Master Plan will show you all intended materials, finishes and dimensions. These plans will also support your application to council if required.

Planting Plan

This plan has all the carefully considered plants placed in position with a schedule. Contractors will use the schedule to provide you with a quote. A plant portfolio will assist you in identifying and understanding the plant choices.

Design Implementation

At this point we can help you transform the designs into reality by introducing you to some of our highly skilled contractors that we collaborate with. If you already have a contractor in mind, we would be happy to work with them as well. 

Through the installation process we would like to stay involved throughout the process. We will stand beside you and work with the contractor to create this unique space. We can be contracted to do this on a retainer or as needed at an hourly rate.

Maintenance

At the completion of your job we won’t leave you high and dry with your new garden. Our collection of maintenance contractors works closely with us to assist you in nurturing your garden to our desired plans. 

Plants are living and growing organisms and naturally change over many years. As a part of our services we would like to stay in contact with you to observe and assist where needed.
